Frequently Asked Questions

We are happy to offer direct billing to eligible private health plans. It is important that you understand the details of your policy, for example, if there are any referral requirements, deductible, co-pays and maximum benefits so please review your plans ahead of scheduling your treatment. If you have questions about your policy you will need to contact your provider. Insurance billing is a courtesy we offer, however in times when your plan does not cover your treatment, payment is your responsibility and is due at the time of your treatment.

Our practitioners prepare for each session and prepare that time specifically to provide you with focused, uninterrupted care.

Their schedule is their income and as service-based practitioners, they depend on services rendered to earn a living. It is for this reason that service-based businesses create cancellation policies for missed appointments and late cancellations. When appointments are missed or cancelled on short notice, it impacts not only your practitioner but others but others waiting for care. Having a reasonable amount of time to acknowledge a change in their schedule gives the practitioner the opportunity to schedule another client in, potentially someone who is on the wait list seeking care at that time.

Their policy is simple.

24 hours is the minimum requirement for any cancellations. Cancellations can be done online through your account within that time, any cancellations done by email, phone or social media may not be met with that timeline and are discouraged. In the case of inclement weather and medical emergencies, fees may be waived and that is at the discretion of the therapist. All other cancellations will be subject to a 50-100% service fee. Please note that insurance DOES NOT cover missed appointments or cancellation fees.

Missed appointments without notice or contact will be charged the full amount of the service that was booked. The policy exists to allow clients to understand how their therapist earns a living and to avoid patterns that can significantly impact their income. In the case of emergencies and life just showing up, we appreciate any form of contact so the therapist can take the appropriate action and work to help you get rescheduled.

We securely keep credit cards on file to hold appointment times and to allow for smooth billing procedures and simplify the checkout process. It also allows us to ensure our cancellation policies are applied fairly and consistently. Your card is not charged at the time of booking, and your information is stored securely through our booking system.

If a cancellation charge is placed on your account, we will always reach out to discuss the situation and offer alternative options for payment. We give a grace period to allow clients appropriate time to communicate with us.
