Massage Therapy

Since 2015, Christopher has worked in massage to create a safe and welcoming environment, while using his techniques and experience to help show your body where healing is most required. Beyond a deep Swedish massage and Fascial techniques, Christopher also brings eastern Gua Sha, Cupping, Tui Na and Suikodo modalities to his table. He has a strong passion for finding out the root of a person’s discomfort or pain and works with his clients to discover the cause rather than focusing on the symptoms. While being very tough on the body his philosophy on health includes the mental and emotional side to healing and tries his best to accommodate this during treatment and in aftercare. Christophers’ experience has given him knowledge on a range of postural and motion issues including pre- and post-surgery care, frozen shoulder, low back and neck pain, as well as tendinitis and overuse injuries. In addition to helping with anxiety, stress and mental health, chronic pain, and autoimmune disorders. He believes that through massage anyone can become more in tune with their body, leading to a healthier, happier lifestyle.

PLEASE NOTE DANIEL IS TEMPORARILY NOT ABLE TO OFFER DIRECT BILLING TO INSURANCE WHILE WE WAIT FOR HIS PROVIDER REGISTRATION. YOU CAN SUBMIT YOUR RECEIPT TO YOUR INSURANCE FOR REIMBURSEMENT.

Daniel is a Registered Massage Therapist known for his friendly, relaxed nature and thoughtful, intuitive approach to treatment. His goal is simple: to create a space where clients feel genuinely comfortable, cared for, and able to let their bodies settle.

A graduate of Eastern College’s Massage Therapy program, Daniel has developed a particular interest in fascial techniques, nervous system regulation, and the relationship between tension, mobility, and how we feel in our bodies. Clients have already raved about his ability to combine therapeutic work with a deeply calming touch, helping them feel as though both their body and nervous system have had an opportunity to reset.

His treatments may incorporate Swedish massage, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, and other therapeutic techniques to help address muscle tension, discomfort, and restricted mobility. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, Daniel adjusts each treatment to the individual client, their goals, and their comfort level.

Before becoming an RMT, Daniel worked as an Early Childhood Educator in New Brunswick, where he developed a passion for working with and helping others. His interest in health, personal growth, and continually developing new skills eventually led him to pursue a new career in massage therapy and make the move to Nova Scotia.

Daniel is naturally curious and enjoys understanding how things work—whether that’s the human body or one of his hands-on hobbies like Rubik’s cubes and juggling. That same curiosity carries into his massage practice through his attention to the subtle changes in tissue, movement, and how each client responds to treatment.

Friendly, compassionate, and easygoing, Daniel strives to make massage therapy feel approachable and comfortable. Whether you’re dealing with persistent muscle tension, feeling restricted in your movement, looking for therapeutic care, or simply feel like your body and nervous system need an opportunity to slow down and reset, Daniel will meet you where you are.

He is excited to begin his career at Somata, become part of the Pictou County community, and welcome new clients into his practice.
